Pumpkin Patch

It was a cold and dreary day, but it was fun for Hunter's kindergarten class as they took a trip to the Pumpkin Patch. I took a vacation day to attend the field trip with Hunter and we had a nice time. The bus driver got lost on the way to the pumpkin patch, but it was simply a wrong turn, so a quick turnaround and we got there just fine.

They crawled through a blow-up caterpiller tunnel, went on a hayride around the farm and sat and listened to a story that was read about pumpkins.

They also got to feed the animals, however, Hunter was not to fond of this! He wasn't afraid of the animals - he just didn't like the smell. While his classmates was in the barn feeding and petting the animals, Hunter stood outside the barn holding his nose during this event.

Last of all - Hunter showing off his pumpkin that he brought home from the pumpkin patch.

I hadn't been on a school bus in probably 18 years! What an adventure with a bus load full of kindergartner's. It was a fun day and lucky for us, it didn't rain!

Take care.
