Fundraisers and Road Trips

Tonight was the first fundraiser event that was held for school and Hunter insisted that we attend. It was "McTeacher" night at McDonalds and a percentage of the proceeds between the hours of 4-8 are given to the school. I had to work late tonight and I told him it wasn't a good night to go and that I promised him we would go to the next one. He just wasn't having this - his response "but Mom, it's a fundraiser!" So, I agreed to go down there, but not for dinner.
He & I headed down and returned home with a sundae for everyone. Our small contribution for the event and a small dish of ice cream for everyone makes for a happy family!

I am looking forward to tomorrow as I have taken a vacation day. Aubrey, Tanner and I are taking a little road-trip to Grandma's house. It's pretty much top secret around here though - it will make for some very unhappy boys if they find out that we're going without them. Aubrey doesn't even know yet - can't have any bragging going on! David is looking forward to a quiet day at home. I'll just have to ask for forgiveness after we get home - probably a little easier to get from the boys than permission to go without them!

I'm looking forward to spending a day with my mom and enjoying a nice visit with my grandparents. I love my Grandma & Grandpa! It just seems like I don't get to visit much when I have all the kids with me, so this trip is for the purpose of getting to spend a little more time with them. So, Grandma - have a pot of coffee ready in the morning!

The kids are all in bed, except Tanner and he's playing so well by himself. I think I'm going to go get David & I's sundae and have our treat before heading off to sleep.
